Development and Scope
Since my son and I started fleshing out Disaster Duck we had a TON of ideas and mechanics, and the project was in serious danger of over-scoping and never getting done. So we severely limited the scope for Disaster Duck 1 in order to be able to make something that we could complete and in a reasonable time-frame for our first game.
We had decided (at least for now) to create several games in the Disaster Duck series, the second one being an on-rails shooter in the vein of R-Type meets Einhander with more RPG elements, a skill-tree and lots of different guns.
I'll try to post some pictures or video coming up as I have made progress on several features, like picking up guns, shooting them and camera movement. Also damaging enemies with health bars, damage numbers popup and destruction sprite animations.
Disaster Duck 2
After rescuing the people of Duck City, take the fight to the aliens in this bullet-hell shooter!
